LEARN TO MAKE A LEATHER TOTE 2 DAY SESSION
Over two days you will learn how to make a leather Tote Bag from start to finish. Pattern-Making, Cutting and Construction will all be covered in a one-on-one learning environment in the SARAH CONNERS Melbourne studio.
Having many years of teaching experience under my belt I understand that every student is different and sessions are adapted to suit all skill levels.
During a two day session students will learn all the steps required to create a quality leather Tote Bag. I have chosen a tote bag so that students can experience a variety of techniques that can be easily translated to their own designs. Rolled edges, zip insertion, handles and lining will all be addressed in one bag.
All the materials and equipment needed to complete your Tote Bag to a professional standard are supplied.
Students will start the session making the pattern for their Tote Bag, this pattern can then be kept by the student as a future reference.
The second step in creating a handbag is cutting the leather and linings. Students will cut their chosen leather and all the lining pieces required to make their bag.
When all pieces are cut construction will begin on the bag and students will be guided through each step of the process. Learning when to tape, glue and stitch the separate pieces to create their bag.
During finishing the quality of the bag is checked, threads clipped and the bag cleaned ready for use (or sale!). The beautiful Tote Bag is then the students to keep.
